Jazz Goes to Junior College (Limited Edition), Vinyl / 12" Album Vinyl

Jazz Goes to Junior College (Limited Edition) Vinyl / 12" Album

by Dave Brubeck Quartet

Vinyl / 12" Album

Description

The first regular Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond included Joe Dodge on drums and, brothers Bob or Norman Bates on bass. In 1956 Joe Morello took over as the quartet's drummer in place of Dodge, and with his arrival the classic Dave Brubeck Quartet' was born. 'Jazz Goes to Junior College' is, therefore, a recording that shows a transitional phase of the quartet. It also marked a return to recording live concerts, of which this LP was a sequel to the Brubeck Quartet's hit 'Jazz Goes to College', recorded during a series of college concerts dates in 1954.
